Christmas Dinner

Our annual Christmas Dinner is a day when we come together with our friends experiencing homelessness to celebrate another year of being in community together.

For the safety of all our guests and volunteers, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Christmas Dinner this Sunday, December 10.

The weather forecast continues to show severe weather that day, with thunderstorms and damaging winds. Being out in the rain is one thing, but we certainly don’t want to put anyone at risk in what looks to be a day of potentially dangerous weather.

We are very disappointed to not hold this event, as it is such a highlight each year as we celebrate our call to kinship with our friends experiencing homelessness. We are sure you might be disappointed too, and we are so grateful for your willingness to volunteer and help out.

We are already discussing ways to reallocate the resources from this event to bless our neighbors living on the margins in other ways.

Thank you for your continuing kindness toward and kinship with our friends in the homeless community this Christmas season, and we look forward to serving together with you as we go forward.
