Hygiene Kit drive 2021

We want to challenge our community to make 600 hygiene kits in the next month leading up to Health Day on Sunday, September 19th. We had such success last year with this effort when the pandemic prevented us from having the event, and we’d love to do it again, but this time with a slight twist.

We encourage you to make the kits (see supply items below) and drop most of them off at Trinity Anglican church between now and September 17th. This time, though, we invite you to keep some of the kits in your car so you can have one to give to the people you see standing on the corner on your way to work, or the way back home from school, or as you drive around the city. We want you to be equipped to have a meaningful interaction when these opportunities arise.

Thank you in advance for participating in this effort and providing these kits that will give practical help to our neighbors living on the margins.

Here’s a list of items to include in the hygiene kit:

  • Gallon Ziploc bag (to put items into)

  • Bottled water

  • Granola/chewy bars (1 or 2)

  • New pair of socks

  • Mask

  • Small sanitizer or hand wipes

  • Hand lotion

  • Soap

  • Shampoo

  • Toothbrush/toothpaste

  • Deodorant

  • Chapstick

  • Note of encouragement (God loves you, Stay safe, God bless you, etc.)
