Christmas Dinner

Our annual Christmas Dinner is a day when we come together with our friends experiencing homelessness to celebrate another year of being in community together.

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, we held our annual Christmas Dinner and it was incredible! The turnout exceeeded expectations as 375 guests and volunteers gathered at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer to celebrate the Christmas season and another year of being in community together.

It was a beautiful afternoon with our unhoused neighbors as we shared in the joy of being together. We are thankful the weather cooperated as we sat down side-by-side, ate a delicious holiday meal, enjoyed the festive decor aand 100 dozen Christmas cookies, and sang Christmas carols together.

It was especially heartwarming to see everyone enjoying conversations around the tables and throughout the area. So many smiles and laughs told the story of how we are at our best when we are connected with one another in our community.

There was such a welcoming and warm posture of kindness and hospitality throughout the event. One gentleman said, Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and I appreciate that.”

One woman shared how “one young lady talked with me and prayed for me, and that means so much.” Another guest exclaimed how much he “loved the Christmas carols” and how “those singers really brought the energy and fun to the party!”

We want to say thank you to all of our volunteers and partners for making this event such a festive and meaningful time. We especially want to recognize Lutheran Church of the Redeemer for hosting us so well once again, Bread Emory for providing delicious coffee and hot chocolate, Whitefield Academy for providing a shuttle bus for our guests, and Saram Harms Photography for capturing the event on film so beautifully.

We look forward to getting together again next year!
