Our 2024 Spring Party was a blast!

On Sunday, May 5, 2024, we held our annual Spring Party at North Avenue Presbyterian Church, and had such a great time together!

Sunshine was abundant as 234 guests and volunteers came together for a fun afternoon for our community. Our guests were able to get haircuts, showers, foot care, and other resources in the midst of the fun.

Whether folks were playing games, hanging out and eating around the table, painting in the Art section, doing yoga, praying together, or dancing to the music our DJ played, it was clear that people were connecting with one another and enjoying themselves. That was our hope and prayer - that everyone would feel seen, heard, and loved at this event.

We are so thankful for the hospitality of our volunteers as it is not everyday that our friends experiencing homelessness have a space in the city that welcomes them so warmly. That posture of kindness, care, and friendship reflects the heart of Lazarus, and our hearts are full.

We want to thank our volunteers and partners who made this event possible, beginning with our wonderful hosts at North Avenue Presbyterian Church. We also thank Georgia Works, Atlanta Mission, Gateway Center, Salvation Army Atlanta, Feet on the Street Ministries, The Commodore, TLC Yoga, Harriet Tubman Foot Clinic, Fleur & Forage Atlanta, Heard Entertainment, Urban Enterprises, Foundation for Hospital Art, NAACP Atlanta, NAACP Dekalb, PC&E Atlanta, Trinity Anglican Church, and Immanuel Anglican Church.
