Our 2026 Spring Party is coming soon!

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2-4pm, we will hold our annual Spring Party, and we invite you to join us!

Like we do each year, we will gather at North Avenue Presbyterian Church for a fun afternoon together with our friends experiencing homelessness. We will have music, food, games, art, haircuts, manicures, showers, and foot care, as well as resources like voter registration and SNAP benefits.

We hold this event to create another hospitable space where neighbors can come together and interact in ways that show dignity and build connections. We believe everyone deserves a party, and that the joy that can come from this time together can last well beyond when it ends. It’s a great event for families and friends to do together, and there will be lots of ways to plug in - whether it’s playing games with our guests or more behind the scenes helping with setup or teardown. Here are the volunteer areas:

Art - painting and drawing can be fun and therapeutic, so create some art alongside our guests - adults and kids

Entertainment & Games - play games with our guests, whether it’s with the inflatables or other outdoor games

Food & Beverage - help serve food and drinks to our guests, and even sit with them to eat together

Foot Care - volunteer clinicians care for our guests feet, providing relief

Guest Transportation - ride along with shuttle buses to pick up and drop off guests from local shelters

Haircuts - provide haircuts for our guests, giving them a fresh look and restoring dignity

Hospitality - welcome guests to the event, assist in certain areas, and help put together hygiene kits

Manicures - give manicures and hand massages to guests; on-site training provided - no prior experience needed

Prayer - sit and talk with guests and offer prayer as appropriate

Registration - welcome guests and volunteers, helping them sign waiver forms and get name tags

Resources - partners will provide important resources to our guests, including SNAP benefits and voter registration

Setup - come early to help behind the scenes to set up tables, tents and chairs and prepare the area for the event

Teardown - stay after to load up all the supplies and take them back to Lazarus’ storage space
